It'll be back to books tomorrow as I've finished the knitting project that's been distracting me for the last week. I'm basically pleased with it - though there are a few mistakes, but I guess that's what happens when you make it up as you go along... On the other hand I've learnt a lot, and am happy with colours and pattern. Onwards and upwards!
It looks great!

It's amazing and beautiful - but what is it?
ReplyDeleteIt's a cowl/neck warmer/very short round scarf (sure one of those is the correct term). I like something that keeps your neck warm wit out blowing or slipping off or being really bulky under a coat. This one is a little floppy, a smaller gauge needle would probably have been better.
DeleteIt looks good. Mistakes are part of life, nothing is purely perfect is it?
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed, and I'm basically happy with it. Part of the fun is working out how to do a thing better next time.
DeleteThat's really stunning!

I had fun enlarging your photo to study your intricate designs. And I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThe motif came from Sheila Macgregor's book on fair isle patterns, which I love, and have spent a lot of time going through for inspiration. The colours came from my uncontrolled wool buying binge in Shetland last summer...
