The money goes towards supporting the museum on the island - even more important at the moment after they list the bird observatory in a fire earlier this year.Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-36060701754368864202019-07-07T16:02:50.944+01:002019-07-07T16:02:50.944+01:00How can I buy the kep pattern? How can I buy the kep pattern?Mousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09482009057395492536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-70487934943334397462018-05-04T10:50:40.746+01:002018-05-04T10:50:40.746+01:00I believe you have to join the Facebook group, and...I believe you have to join the Facebook group, and then follow the instructions there. You pay the Museum on Fair Isle and a pdf is sent back within a couple of days. It sounds a bit clunky and old fashioned, but it's what suits the group moderators. The group itself is really helpful for answering questions, giving support, and there's a ton of inspiration when you see all the different things people are doing. The pattern itself is more of a basic template with some suggestions for traditional motifs. Happily it was an easy pattern to follow, and nobody can see the mistakes I made in the picture! I love colourwork too, and find the basic rules of Fair Isle (only 2 colours a row, generally no more than 5 stitches between colour changes) really help with the tension. The nice thing about it is that it's easy to follow or see where you go wrong (if you go wrong!) - that and it's oddly addictive.Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-88898353425740860632018-02-06T21:35:53.970+00:002018-02-06T21:35:53.970+00:00Beautiful colorwork!
