They are such a wonderful fruit. Untoxicating in smell, even without the brandy!skiourophilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200877834536477400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-49681164741784592882015-10-26T19:58:20.230+00:002015-10-26T19:58:20.230+00:00The recipe didn't call for sugar so I haven...The recipe didn't call for sugar so I haven't used any, I did wonder about it but am happy to leave well alone for now. It says leave for 6 weeks so I'll probably check it in about a month, if it seems like sugar would be a good idea I can always add a little then. And there's an insight into my fascinating thought processes for you...Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-37818082361773847922015-10-26T19:55:04.242+00:002015-10-26T19:55:04.242+00:00These shouldn't ferment, although I'm alwa...These shouldn't ferment, although I'm always a little paranoid for the first few weeks. As the temperature drops I'll worry less. I can only imagine the mess those exploding plums made! What a way to wake up. My parents had a year where they got into Make your own booze in a big way. Can't remember what they used (plums possibly?), but they made some sort of liqueur and set it to work its magic under the bed. Then one night two of the bottles exploded in the middle of the night!! Fun for all the family :-)Bookhoundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03101346534682901240noreply@blogger.com
