It's going to be all about textiles for a bit...

This is a bit of a preview of what the next few weeks are going to be about for me. I have a huge yarn stash to get home including (but hardly limited to) this really beautiful (and very reasonably priced) cone of very fine lace weight wool. I'm really looking forward to playing with these - but first I've undertaken to write about some textile books, all of which I'm really quite excited by.

  1. Looking forward to this information on how you will use the yard. I had a friend who was a librarian and weaver-large loom-not ready yet but...

    1. For now it's all been catalogued and put away. I have a few book related things to do before I can get stuck into anything woolly- but as the books are textile based they should give me some inspiration.

  2. More topics for your blog, I hope.

    1. Yes, and for other places too! Lots (for me particularly) to look forward to.

  3. Could you send me some cones? They look so nice. I hope you will show your end-product.

  4. Hi Braunelle, if you're interested the cone came from here http://www.shetlandwoolbrokers.co.uk/epages/BT2741.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT2741/Products/%22Yarn%20-%20Supreme%20Lace%22

They're worth having a look at, expensive but much better value (much) than buying individual balls
