The Driver's Seat is a fantastic book and I enthusiastically second Danielle's recommendation.Paperback Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14579608422235511054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-56933158327898936082010-01-19T18:38:04.164+00:002010-01-19T18:38:04.164+00:00Simon - that sounds most intriguing - will certain...Simon - that sounds most intriguing - will certainly be keeping an eye out. I've read The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at least twice now (predictable I know) but I've also read The Drivers Seat, which is really sort of strange and not what you'd expect at all--still very good.Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06415242678720695754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-58862174696798271442010-01-17T17:47:31.931+00:002010-01-17T17:47:31.931+00:00I think I've also identified Spark with Brodie...I think I've also identified Spark with Brodie for so long (not that it's a bad thing - wonderful book!) that I simply didn't think of any of her other books. I like the sound of The Comforters, and I picked up a few of her novels at a book sale last year, so maybe it's time to actually pull them off the shelf and read them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-11891365821848511532010-01-17T13:24:42.676+00:002010-01-17T13:24:42.676+00:00Oh I ama fan of Spark, its taken a little while fo...Oh I ama fan of Spark, its taken a little while for me to read much of her work and now I have read a few I just think she is marvellous.
