It is a frozen apple, it looked so pretty and very snow white when I took the picture. 10 minutes after a blackbird had eaten a big chunk of it so I'm glad I got the picture when I did.

I'm still feeling very smug about the fudge success:)

Susan, I'm pleased to be in such good companyUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16462516965218548374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-27524829684558522592010-12-06T19:07:12.591+00:002010-12-06T19:07:12.591+00:00Oh I love fudge. I'm right there with you, and I know for a fact that I won't even get to baking, much less the Christmas cards and shopping until Saturday at the earliest. :OSusan in TXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09550766549670690646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-4391907199473241652010-12-05T23:21:28.560+00:002010-12-05T23:21:28.560+00:00Fiction Books - the fudge is meant to be for prese...Fiction Books - the fudge is meant to be for presents so you never know... I want to try whisky next but I'm not sure at which point to add the whisky and I'm a bit wary of alcohol and burning sugar after the dramatic marmalade affair. It has potential to end in a&e if I add it at the wrong time...Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-19457731584686685512010-12-05T23:18:38.067+00:002010-12-05T23:18:38.067+00:00I'm not likely to forget Douglas;) but yet aga...I'm not likely to forget Douglas;) but yet again I might ask for your address. If I ever move I'm going to unearth piles of old envelopes and scraps of paper with all this stuff on them, but in the meantime... I think having the thermometer helped (they're only about £5 so worth the investment). Working on the same budget idea I've candied some oranges, made fudge, and also the marmalade. A definate sugar theme going on here. Thinking I might do some gingerbread biscuits at the last moment as well, but that most likely will never happen. Salt obviously optional.Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-3466385488710512792010-12-05T23:03:18.381+00:002010-12-05T23:03:18.381+00:00Hayley,

Fudge has always been a disaster in chez Heather but this one seems different, not done whisking before so we might give it a go. I'll let you know how we get on, but will think of somehting you like to out in your jar!Cloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07244729851811109360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-2353522320317798662010-12-05T23:01:59.187+00:002010-12-05T23:01:59.187+00:00You can't possibly eat that fudge if it gives ...You can't possibly eat that fudge if it gives you a headache, best you parcel it up and send down Somerset way, where it is guaranteed to find a good home!!

I love fudge of any flavour, maybe with the exception of Rum/Raisin. Both my nieces are the same, so whenever we go anywhere different a fudge shop is always on the agenda of places to visit.

Yvonne: www.fiction-books.bizYvonne @ Fiction Books Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14821114534056290177noreply@blogger.com
