I'm in the mood for lists and the like at the moment and this one looks like fun. I get the impression that it's become a bigger thing here over the last decade or so, but it may be that I'm just more sensitive to it than I once was. The parades always bring home how many people were lost, there was something about the memorial at sunrise that was basically uplifting. I'm really pleased I saw it like that at last.Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-66733203371896466642012-11-14T22:39:15.690+00:002012-11-14T22:39:15.690+00:00A bit of a cliché but it really was a magical morn...A bit of a cliché but it really was a magical morning, maybe because I don't see a lot of sunrises (not a morning person) but this really seemed special. That's why I like the poem, Futility. Our Shrine of Remembrance has a similar feature here in Melbourne but with daylight savings, the sun doesn't shine through until 12 o'clock. It does mean people can go the service then wait inside the Shrine for the sun to hit the plaque on the floor.lynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04509400868331534237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-19566175529731567522012-11-11T20:43:35.694+00:002012-11-11T20:43:35.694+00:00Stunning pictures.
