As to the book, that was a joy to read.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-64032888785602201642016-08-28T20:59:32.794+01:002016-08-28T20:59:32.794+01:00I can't decide if that sounds worse than the (...I can't decide if that sounds worse than the (green) chocolate and mint Stilton I saw in a supermarket one Christmas. Both sound like really awful things to do to an innocent cheese. I actually like Parma violet as a flavour (I used to love those soapy little sweets, still love rose and violet creams - though not many at a time) and would probably have to be physically stopped from buying a Parma violet liqueur (and should be stopped because what would I use it in?) So in my defence I thought the gin sounded like a good idea, but it was a bit to much on its own - and I should probably have worked that out without having to try it - but where would be the fun in that ;) Desperate Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15708411387912078122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8011557877105021955.post-24686382436204051882016-08-28T20:52:58.393+01:002016-08-28T20:52:58.393+01:00We get a few American gins over here but not many ...We get a few American gins over here but not many are widely available (by which I mean easy to find in a shop, I get no joy shopping online so don't do it much). I imagine it's the same for you the other way around, classics excepted. This one is great, especially if you've been on the fence about gin, so if you know anyone coming over to the UK give them instructions! I am finally learning to appreciate gin (I used to hate it)and would love to try this one, especially in the drinks you imagined. And loved Miss Buncle's Book!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
